Management

Mr. Hollister was appointed our president and chief executive officer effective October 9, 2013, Mr. Hollister has been with the Company since December 2005 and has served in various senior financial and operations roles. Most recently, he has overseen the Company’s railcar manufacturing group, which includes the Marmaduke and Paragould railcar assembly plants as well as component/sub-assembly plants. Prior to that, Mr. Hollister had various financial and accounting management roles within the Company. Prior to joining ARI, Mr. Hollister spent 16 years in various financial, operations and management roles at Douglas Quikut Divisions, The Scott Fetzer Company, Inc., a company that manufactures a wide variety of retail and industrial products. Mr. Hollister has a B.S. in Accounting and an MBA from Arkansas State University.

Mr. Williams, 37, has previously served the Company as Vice President Finance and Chief Accounting Officer from March 2015 to December 2015; Director of Financial Reporting from June 2008 to March 2015 and Manager of Financial Reporting from June 2006 to June 2008. In these roles, Mr. Williams has overseen or been responsible for various matters including financing/treasury functions, financial planning and analysis, investor relations, SEC reporting and compliance, plant accounting operations and other accounting matters. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Williams was employed by Ernst & Young LLP, an international accounting firm, where he held various audit roles over a period of five years. Mr. Williams holds an M.S. and B.S. in Accounting from the University of Illinois and is a Certified Public Accountant.

 

Mr. Fundler joined ARI as our Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary on March 3, 2014.  From March 2014 through March 2016, he also served as General Counsel of ARL.  From March 2016 to June 2017 Mr. Fundler provided legal services to ARL pursuant to a consulting services agreement the Company entered into with ARL effective March 1, 2016. Mr. Fundler served as General Counsel of WestPoint Home from November 2009 until February 2014.  From March 2010 to February 2014, he also served as a Vice President of WestPoint Home.  In addition, since March 2010, he has consulted for Insight Portfolio Group as its general counsel. From September 2006 through February 2010, Mr. Fundler served as Assistant General Counsel of IELP. From March 2000 to September 2006, Mr. Fundler served as Counsel with Icahn Associates and affiliates. With respect to each aforementioned company, Mr. Carl Icahn, directly or indirectly, either (i) controls, or at such time controlled, such company or (ii) has, or at such time had, an interest in such company through the ownership of securities. Prior to Icahn Associates, Mr. Fundler worked for Gordon Altman Weitzen Shalov & Wein, a law firm representing the interests of various corporate and institutional clients in a broad range of corporate, mergers and acquisitions and other transactions, including certain transactions of Mr. Carl Icahn and his affiliates. Prior to joining the corporate group at Gordon Altman Weitzen Shalov & Wein, Mr. Fundler had his own law practice in Silicon Valley and San Francisco, with an emphasis on representing start-up entrepreneurs. Mr. Fundler received a B.A. in International Business in 1993 from San Diego State University and a J.D. in 1996 from the University of California, San Francisco, Hastings College of Law.

Mr. O’Bryan joined ARI as our Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer on June 1, 2017.  Mr. O’Bryan has 28 years of rail industry experience in transportation services, logistics, and fleet management.  Mr. O’Bryan served as Chief Executive Officer of ARL from June 2014 through May 2017.  During this time ARL was controlled by Mr. Carl Icahn, the Company’s beneficial stockholder through IELP.  From January 2009 to May 2014, Mr. O’Bryan served as President of Mitsui Rail Capital, where he was responsible for strategic leadership and management of all commercial and operating activities.  Prior to Mitsui, Mr. O’Bryan held senior level positions at: Rescar Inc., including roles as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer; GE Capital, including roles within sales, marketing and quality; and CSX Corporation, including roles in sales, marketing and operations.  Mr. O’Bryan holds an MBA in International Business and Finance from the University of North Florida and a B.S. in Marketing from Jacksonville University, was previous licensed as a CPA In Illinois and completed the Advanced Management Program at The University of Chicago.
